Let me take you through a great internet knowledge-browsing experience I just had. Starting out watching a video about independent musicians and videomakers online by this guy Jack Conte who made it somewhat famous on youtube talking at the XOXO festival, very interesting and fun to watch. He eventually talked about a platform he’s making called Patreon where you can subscribe to peoples’ creations and get them paid per released item; interesting concept somewhere between kickstarter and personal patronage for incremental crowdfunding.
I’m sure there is some great stuff here but it’s a bit overwhelmed by the parade of mediocrity that is the wall of content there… From there I randomly checked out few of the artists and one was kinda fun and had a blog with a great video:
